Spot the Snowflake!!
(Related to my blog entry for December 8, 2009:)
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH ... I'm beginning to wonder if I've completely lost my touch!! Sigh Can you can spot the snowflake on the picture above? It is supposed to jump off the glove and smack you in the eyes! This project is a FLOP and is destined for the frog pond (rippit rippit). And I am soon going to be heading off in search of a varigated yarn with more contrast to the pretty light blue for the flakes!

Dishcloths Dishcloths Dishcloths!!
The Olympics this year was the most exciting year ever for me to watch! GO CANADA GO!! I am so proud of all the GOLD Medals we won!! WOOT WOOT WOOT
Ladybug Ladybug, Fly Away Home was inspired by my friend Diane's window decoration while I was visiting with her in Edmundston, NB last week. This cloth will be available soon on www.knitwitsalley.com.
Stacy & Clinton from "What Not To Wear" are 2 of my favorite people to watch, so entertaining, so saavy and chic!! I sometimes wish my family & friends would put me on that show so I could get a new $5000 wardrobe in NEW YORK!! ((**Woah**))

Knitting Fun of the very BEST sort!!
I spent a glorious day today knitting with 2 of my favorite people, my sister and neice. We are delving into a wonderful new world ... lace knitting!! There are almost too many pattern/book choices and so many fantastic yarns/fibres available at the click of a mouse. There are even some luring yarn shops within driving distance that carry some of these delights so I am adding to my stash and becoming quite a yarn snob! lol I've fallen in love with alpaca, merino, silk, sugarcane and mohair!
Today we started our very own Hand Painted Gloves KAL following Karen's delightful pattern. Here is a picture of what I have accomplished so far today! I'm soooo pleased with myself, this 1/2 inch didn't come painlessly you know! hahaha The Knitpicks Harmony needles are a dream to knit with and the Frog Tree 100% Alpaca & Diamond Luxury Merino/Superwash Wool are so soft that I fear I shall never go back to ordinary fibres again!
Here is a closeup. My camera isn't all that great but at least you get the idea. I love the way this is working up!
