My Striped Washcloth
Materials: 1 ball of Bernat Handicrafter Cotton Stipes Yarn (Self Striping yarn)
4.5 mm pair knitting needles
4.5 mm circular needle (40 cm long)
Cast on 39 sts
Row 1: Knit across.
Row 2: Purl across.
Continue in stocking stitch for 39 rows or until piece is square, do not cast off.
Edging:
Continue knitting across top 39 sts, pick up & knit 25 sts down the side, pick up & knit 39 sts across the bottom and pick up & knit 25 sts up the last side. (128 sts) Place marker on needle to mark beginning and ending of rounds.
Round 1: Purl around.
Round 2: Knit around, increasing 2 sts on each corner.
Rounds 3 & 4: Repeat rounds 1 & 2.
Cast off, darn in ends and enjoy!

awesome cloth! I love the stripes, I have amassed a bit of a collection of colors, I'm around the corner from spinrite (makes bernat and S&C among others). I made a "swatch" cloth out of the blues. Thanks for all the hard work you all do!
